This is the original and rare 1959 1st USA Edition printed by Golden Press. Rare and collectible book, especially in this condition. The Golden Press editions used an alternate translation done in America, and these are the only editions with the USA translations available.

CONDITION: Excellent Condition considering age. The cover is excellent with only minor rubbing wear and a few small feint scratches, the edges/corners have some rubbing wear. Spine is very nice and solid which is rare for these editions, there is some minor wear to it. There is a small stamp marking on 1st inner page. Pages are superb and white throughout with no blotching or yellowing. Rear cover has a few small tape remnant marks in middle. No inscriptions or scribbles throughout. Please see pictures.
