This is the original 1945 1st Belgian Edition printed by Casterman. In hardback format with yellow cloth spine.

Rare Tintin items like this are gaining in value right now due to scarcity and age. 

CONDITION: Fair/Poor condition. Cover is decent with rubbing wear and small marks in places, edges/corners have shelf wear, spine is good for these old editions with wear/fraying. Rear cover has had the top left corner of board repaired. Pages are decent overall and all there. They have some yellowing to them and blotch marks in places, many have small to medium tears to bottom/sides, and some larger tears to pages have been repaired well. First inner pages have some damage to the centre. No scribbles or inscriptions throughout. Please see pictures.
